Clinical therapy involves the assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of mental health disorders under applicable state and federal healthcare laws.
  • Non-Clinical Life Coaching, Summits & Educational Products (wearethegoodandthefree.com): Online courses, digital downloads, group communities, virtual summits, and 1:1 or group coaching offerings provided through wearethegoodandthefree.com (and hosted on third-party platforms including Kajabi) are educational and consultative services only. They do not constitute psychotherapy, clinical mental health treatment, medical diagnosis, or healthcare services, and are available to clients globally regardless of location.
2.3 HIPAA Applicability and Protected Health Information (PHI)

The Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) applies exclusively to clinical psychotherapy clients receiving care through our secure, HIPAA-compliant Electronic Health Record (EHR) platform (SimplePractice or Upheal).

  • Once you formally engage in clinical therapy services, your Protected Health Information (PHI) will be protected under a separate Notice of Privacy Practices (NPP) provided to you directly within the SimplePractice or Upheal portal.
  • Services, communications, purchases, and subscriptions conducted on or through wearethegoodandthefree.com or Kajabi are not clinical healthcare services and are not governed by HIPAA. Data submitted on wearethegoodandthefree.com is protected under standard commercial web encryption standards as outlined in this Privacy Policy.
